Becoming American: The Chinese Experience
Bill Moyers has produced this documentary that would be of interest to many of you. Several of us previewed it at HoustonPBS/Channel8 earlier this week and you need to see this three part series. It will begin airing on March 25 - 27, 2003 at 8:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Houston time and there is also a local segment, the connection Special: Chinese in Houston, immediately following the March 25 segment and then repeated after the March 27 segment. Historian and Retired Professor Dr. Edward Chen, Houston Mayor Pro Tem Gordon Quan, Organization of Chinese Americans National President Raymond Wong and Chinese Civic Center President Grace Li are the Houstonians interviewed by Houston PBS Moderator Patricia Gras.
